NBA Player Chris Paul Introduces A New Line of Plant-Based Snacks “Good Eat’N”

NBA point guard Chris Paul, who is a vegan company owner and active HBCU advocate, has diversified his business portfolio with a new brand of plant-based treats called Good Eat’n.

A Plant-Based Partnership

The Phoenix Suns star athlete has collaborated with GoPuff to offer plant-based snacks on the GoPuff application.

Paul shared his motivation in a press release: “As someone with a plant-based diet who loves flavorful foods, I know first-hand that it can be difficult to find delicious and approachable plant-based alternatives to your favorite snacks.”

“I’m thrilled to announce this new brand with GoPuff that makes plant-based snacks easily available with flavors that appeal to the masses,” he continues.

The new food menu attempts to mimic the sort of snacks we are accustomed to consuming while exclusively utilizing plant-based components. Good Eat’n’s menu features chips, popcorn, puffs, and rinds.

Utendahl Creative, a studio founded and led by Black women, designed the branding for the Good Eat’n products.

Healthy Flavors

As part of its commitment to producing healthier snacks, Good Eat’n features varieties such as Hot Hot Puffs, Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donut Puffs, Nacho Cheeze Tortilla Chips, Big Dill Ranch Tortilla Chips, Cookies N Creme Popcorn, Carolina Style BBQ Popcorn, and Classic BBQ Porkless Rinds.

“Creating this entirely new product line with Chris shows Gopuff’s proven ability to not only launch products on its platform, but to serve as a true incubator for brands,” shared Yakir Gola, GoPuff co-founder and co-CEO.

Yakir continues: “As a long-time partner, Chris deeply understands how to leverage Gopuff’s platform to meet the evolving needs of the modern consumer. His passion and commitment to a plant-based lifestyle, along with the integral, hands-on role he’s played in creating this brand since day one has been a labor of love. We are excited to expand our partnership with Chris and introduce Good Eat’n.”

Good Eat’n is not the athlete’s only plant-based collaboration. Earlier this year, Paul partnered with Koia, a 100% plant-based beverage brand, and his charitable apparel line, Support Black Colleges.

The partnership resulted in the creation of a limited-edition Koia Protein Cinnamon Horchata. The low-sugar, plant-based protein drink comes in Chris Paul-branded packaging. The beverage is only sold on Walmart.com.

Koia intends to contribute 100% of the protein shake proceeds to the Chris Paul Family Foundation to assist student grants at HBCUs.
